Before I even begin this entry, I want to end the suspense (in case you did not know) and say that I am heading to BRAZIL!!! Yes, I am super excited to see this beautiful country, experience it's culture and to catch up with an old friend. Thank you so much for guessing (good job for guessing it Lindalou) and for all your suggestions. Since my friend is an English teacher, an American flag would be a great gift. I'm still looking to get other things, but I do know that I want to make them pancakes and bring some maple syrup.
Stay tuned to hear more about the trip....
Well, I do want to write an entry about a restaurant in New York that is not know for it's entrees. It is not known for it's desserts. Oh, and even though it is called The Coffee Shop, it is not known for it's coffee. So, why is this place such a popular hot spot? This diner like restaurant is popular because it is a well known hang out for celebrities.
When my friends and I went looking for a dessert place, she suggested this place. We decided to check it out. Overall, the food was satisfactory.
We ordered the banana pudding pie.
The brownie sundae.
One of us decided to chose something spicy, the tamales.
Personally, I was not impressed. If I choose to go to a restaurant, the most important thing to me is the quality of the food. Fortunately, the place is reasonably priced. As for the celebrity.... I did not see anyone famous that night. But, I wish I had payed more attention. As we left the restaurant, one of my friends said, "Hey, did you see who was there? It was that guy from Glee, that Jesse St. James character." Ha, oh well. At least the company of friends was unbeatable...

ReplyDeleteYe, I really like your blog, it´s the first blog about eating I´ve ever seen - well, I´m on the diet right now, but I still like photos of food - and the meals on your photos seems particulary well tasted... Then I like travelling, too ... And I like NYC, too, I still hope that one day I´ll visit ...
Wish you a nice day ;)
