Greetings fellow bloggers. Since I started my blog in January, I have had so much fun writing my posts, taking photos for all of you and just figuring out the workings of the blog world itself. And now, about two months later, all I can say is that blogging is time consuming!!
With the weather we had this winter, it was easy to focus on it and do all this research. In all honesty, I loved it. Yet, now my life has become very busy which makes it very difficult to stay on top things the way I would want to. I mean, really, I can’t complain. I have over 100 followers (which I thank all of you for choosing to follow me in my adventures), the traffic to my site has increased tremendously and I have been learning so much about technology. Nontheless, I wish I was able to stay more on top of the posts, respond to comments and visit other blogs more frequently. Can anyone relate to what I am saying? Just curious...
Well, enough of that... I wanted to post about this cafe and pastry shop in Williamsburg. A group of us went to this place called Fabiane’s Cafe & Pastry Shop which is on the corner of Bedford Avenue and N 5th Street. Here are some of the photos of the desserts we tried. Warning: may cause sugar fever ;)

Mm, desserts <3 :)
ReplyDeleteI understand what you are saying .. but...you have a great blog, lots of followers, lots of traffic.. It is also the intensity of your activity , like organizing competitions!, that explains the workload.
ReplyDeleteI have started a month later and need to take lessons from you ....my blog is basically just a way to share my new hobby, photography!
The sweets look inviting but I prefer not to look to much at those !
keep up the good work!

ReplyDeletelooks so yummy :3
ReplyDeleteWhy couldn't you have posted this BEFORE I went to NYC!? Soooooooo goooooood! :)
ReplyDeleteI hear what you're saying about the blogging. When I started my blog, I really didn't think it would be quite so much work. I love it though, so I don't really mind. As soon as it stops being fun, I'll have to reevaluate how I do it. With posts about decadent sweet shops tho...how can it not be fun?
@ Lavel: Yes, the desserts were delightful :)
ReplyDelete@ This is Belgium: You are such an encouragement!! You too have grown an incredible fan base... Belgium is a country that people (at least in my area) know very little about. Your photography makes one feel that they are there. Thanks again for your comments :)
@ Taio: Da, nu;)
ahh! now i have to get dessert--good thing it's lunch time.
ReplyDeleteand i know how you feel. blogging takes a lot of work and is very time consuming. so you have to make sure you are writing about something you really enjoy and set out time each day to blog/comment/interact, whatever. :)
Thank you for the visit - actually: Obrigada! How did you like Rio?? I was born in brasilia, but haven't come back there in years... did you like it?
ReplyDeleteHugs & kisses from Rio!

Hi there
ReplyDeleteWhen I eventually get to NY i will certainly check on the places you have blogged about. I have such as sweet tooth my mouth watered at the photos...
I too have found that I really want to be a better blogger, which means more time working out the best way to deliver what I really want to. But I have found the blogging world to be one of the most creative and supporting places to be part of. I was nervous at first abut sharing my poetry and paintings but you were so encouraging and I havent looked back since.
So, take a breather, be good to yourself, as we all look forward to reading what you post.
Take care
Olga from http://revedoa@blogspot.com

i definitely get what you are saying. sometimes blogging can feel like a chore, so you have to find ways to keep yourself interested. i try to make little blog goals for myself sometimes when i'm feeling uninspired, so i stay on top of things!
ReplyDeletethose desserts look so good! i feel like i'm always craving sweets but those photos just made it so much worse!
it is always a bit difficult to try to stay on top of blogging and trying to do other things as well but it just depends on time management as well, the desserts look amazing definitely craving one right now! thanks for the comment!

ReplyDelete@ Parsley Sage: Oh, I wish I posted this before you left too!! I do love blogging; I actually miss it when I don't blog ;)
@ Oh to Be a Muse: You are so right.. The difficult part is that at times you feel as though there is just not enough time in the day :)
@ A Casa da Vá: I loved Rio!! Now, every time I hear or see something on Rio or anywhere in Brazil, it reminds me of my time there.. It always makes me smile :)
ReplyDelete@ Olga W: Thank YOU for your encouragement. Keep writing!!
@ burbujitabebe: Lo siento ;)
@ She is Sara: I'm glad you enjoyed it ;)

Well yes, there are days now and again when I don't have the time to write a post or properly respond to all comments. This is mainly because of family responsibilities, but it's all fine. Don't need to write every single day. I sometimes think a few days gives more people a chance to read each specific post.

Warnings duly noted. Fever rising for those desserts. Lovely photos. Thanks for stopping by my kitchen. You're so lucky to live in the big city. So much to see, so much to do.

My father-in-law, who is a very literal man and not very tech savvy, had this one and only comment after he saw my blog for the first time...."you might want to change the name 'everyday with abby j' if you are not going to put something new up every day".....I think of that often, and wish I had more time to dedicate to my blog. It keeps me motivated and I love when people are moved enough to comment but there are days when I am shooting a show and up at 4am, to go to studios in Bklyn, and not home until 9pm, that does not leave much time for anything else. Post when you can, we'll still be here!
ReplyDeletethis post is so delicious that food, wow.

ReplyDeleteI totally understand what you mean about blogging it`s a big job really and girls who have thousands of followers just have to devote themselves to blogging as it`s a responsibility as well! But if you do it for fun and as a hobby that`s great too. I try to keep up with my blog though it`s too difficult sometimes and I feel shame if I don`t have time to answer the comments questions or comment back. But all that blog are very inspiring!:)Sorry for long comment:)
