Bridge Music: What song do you want playing on the radio when your driving over a bridge?

There is something majestic about driving over bridges like the George Washington and the Tappan Zee Bridge. For me, I want the right song to be playing to help me enjoy the experience more.

About two years ago, my friend Del and I went to our friend Sara's wedding near Sacramento, California. We rented a convertible (even though it was very chilly at the time) and drove to San Francisco. Michael Franti's song "Say Hey" was the song of the trip. When we crossed the Golden Gate bridge with the roof down, this song was playing. It made the experience unforgettable. I jokingly said to Del, "we should come up with a CD titled 'Bridge music' and put songs that we would want playing when we are crossing a bridge". We started brainstorming songs and decided that for our next trip, we would make aCD.
What songs do you suggest? What would be your bridge music be?
Does anyone know what I'm talking about??

  1. That's a fun song. I don't travel as much as you do by any means so I wouldn't need bridge music.

    Here's a bridge song I'd add.
    Stevie Wonder's "Superstition."
